Day 1 - Wednesday, May 26th: Welcome to Sardinia ā Settle Into Island Life
Arrive on the beautiful island of Sardinia and make your way to Resort Cala di Falco in the seaside village of Cannigione, our home for the week. Nestled along Sardinia's famed Emerald Coast, this stunning resort provides the perfect setting to unwind, connect and prepare for the adventures ahead.
After settling into your room, take time to relax and recover from your journey. Lounge by the pool, stroll along the marina, explore the village shops and cafƩs, or simply enjoy your first glimpse of Sardinia's sparkling turquoise waters.
In the evening, we'll gather for a welcome reception followed by dinner at the resort. You'll meet your fellow therapists, review the week ahead and begin building the connections that make these retreats so memorable.
Then it's time to rest and recharge ā tomorrow we begin our journey together, balancing advanced education with authentic Sardinian experiences.

Day 2 - Thursday, May 27th: San Pantaleo, Wine Country & the Flavors of Gallura
This morning we head to the village of San Pantaleo, famous for its Thursday market, creative energy and dramatic granite peaks. The piazza comes alive with ceramic artists, jewelry makers, linen designers and food stalls that smell a little too good to ignore.
You'll have time to wander, browse, sample local specialties and chat with artisans who are passionate about their craft. It's colorful, lively and full of one-of-a-kind finds that make perfect souvenirs or gifts for yourself.
Later, we continue to Vigne Surrau, one of Sardinia's most celebrated wineries, for a guided tasting of crisp Vermentino, bold local reds and regional specialties. Your visit includes a selection of small bites thoughtfully paired with the wines, all enjoyed in a beautiful setting surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills.
Once we return to Cannigione, the remainder of the afternoon is yours. Relax by the pool, stroll the marina, explore the village shops and cafés, or simply settle into the slower pace of island life.
Dinner tonight is on your own and Cannigione offers plenty of inviting spots for fresh local cuisine, waterfront dining and a glass of something delicious.

Day 3 - Friday, May 28th: Learning & Island Discovery
This morning we begin our first educational session with James Waslaski, learning innovative orthopedic massage techniques designed to provide practical, easy-to-apply skills you can immediately incorporate into your practice.
Following class, we'll gather for a relaxed group lunch before setting off to explore one of Sardinia's most beloved island destinations.
This afternoon, we'll travel to nearby Palau and board the ferry to La Maddalena, a colorful harbor town known for its lively waterfront, charming streets and laid-back island atmosphere. You'll have free time to browse boutiques, enjoy a gelato by the marina, explore the historic center or simply soak in the views of the sparkling Mediterranean.
We'll return to Cannigione in the early evening, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy dinner on your own and a relaxing evening at the resort.

Day 4 - Saturday, May 29th: La Maddalena by Sea
Today we set out on a full-day catamaran cruise through the La Maddalena Archipelago, a protected marine area famous for crystal-clear waters, hidden coves and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Mediterranean. We'll anchor in secluded bays, enjoy opportunities for swimming and snorkeling, and even venture ashore by dinghy to explore pristine beaches.
On board, we'll enjoy a relaxed lunch featuring local flavors as we soak up the Sardinian sunshine and embrace the slower pace of life at sea.
We return to Cannigione in the late afternoon with time to freshen up before enjoying a free evening. Whether you choose a waterfront aperitivo, a leisurely dinner in town or simply a quiet evening at the resort, it's the perfect ending to an unforgettable day on the water.

Day 5 - Sunday, May 30th: Education & Sardinian Flavors
Spend the morning expanding your clinical skills during another focused session with James. Through hands-on instruction and practical techniques, youāll continue building tools designed to help relieve musculoskeletal pain and enhance your work with clients.
After class, youāll have time to enjoy a light lunch on your own before we come together for a hands-on Sardinian cooking class.
Guided by a local cook, weāll prepare traditional dishes while learning about the ingredients, techniques and culinary traditions that make Sardinian cuisine so distinctive. Itās an afternoon filled with good food, shared laughter and plenty of opportunities to get involved.
Once the cooking is complete, weāll sit down together to enjoy the meal weāve helped prepare. The evening is then yours to relax, take a stroll through Cannigione or simply enjoy a quiet night at the resort.

Day 6 - Monday, May 31st: Final Seminar & Farewell Celebration
Our final full day together begins with one last morning of focused, hands-on learning with James. Youāll continue refining your orthopedic massage techniques and leave with practical skills you can confidently bring back to your clients and practice.
After class, weāll gather for a farewell celebration lunch filled with good food, shared memories and time to reflect on everything weāve learned and experienced together in Sardinia.
The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Relax by the pool, explore Cannigione, stroll along the waterfront, do a little last-minute shopping or simply savor your final hours at the resort.
The evening is at leisure, giving you time to pack, enjoy a casual dinner on your own or gather with new friends for one last toast to an unforgettable week.

Day 7 - Tuesday, June 1st: Arrivederci, Sardinia
This morning we'll gather one last time over breakfast before checking out of Resort Cala di Falco and beginning our journeys home or onward to new adventures. There will be hugs, promises to stay in touch and perhaps one last lingering look at the sparkling waters of Sardinia's Emerald Coast that have been our backdrop all week.
As you travel home or continue exploring Italy, you'll carry more than just photos and memories. You're leaving with new clinical skills, fresh inspiration and meaningful connections formed through shared learning and unforgettable experiences.

James Waslaski, Your Massage Mentor
James integrates over 30 years of expertise in manual and sports therapiesĀ to enhance the education and patient outcomes for all manual therapists. He has pioneered new protocols for pain-free orthopedic massage, pain management, sports injury, and sports enhancement treatments.Ā
A published author, renowned international lecturer and approved NCBTMB provider,Ā James was inducted into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame in 2008 and awarded teacher of the year at the Canadian Massage Conference in 2012 and the World Massage Festival in 2015.
James teaches his cutting-edge seminars throughout the world.Ā In addition to working with collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes, he has taught massage therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, osteopaths, chiropractors, nurses and physicians.
Fran Waslaski, Your Fun Facilitator
Fran has been a licensed massage therapist in Florida and Texas for over 25 years.Ā She and James met at her very first massage conference in 1995. Since then, sheās owned her own clinic as well as worked in a variety of settings, including spas and chiropractic offices.
Fran is currently the office manager at The Center For Pain ManagementĀ and handles all the accounting. She helps organize and run the seminar business alongside her husband, James.
Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Fran was a professional dancer,Ā performing in musicals, dance companies and on cruise ships. She still loves to dance (and teach others), so when you hear the music pumping, grab your dancing shoes! š šŗĀ
Linda Beach, YourĀ Retreat Concierge
Linda has been a massage therapist and CE instructor for over 30 years.Ā She met James way back in the early 90's and was at the event where he met his lovely wife, Fran. ā¤ļø
In 1998, Linda opened a chain of massage & esthetic schools in South CarolinaĀ and hosted James for CE classes many times. She sold her schools in 2016 to work from her laptop while she travels the world hosting retreats and teaching others how to create a business they donāt need a vacation from. š āļøĀ
Linda's passion forĀ travel knows no bounds; it's inspired her to create a business dedicated to showcasing the enchanting wonders of our captivating world!Ā She's so excited to be facilitating this retreat for James and Fran and showing YOU all the beauty the LiguriaĀ region ofĀ Italy has to offer.
