Day 1 - Tuesday, April 14th: Welcome to Tuscany – Let the Magic Begin

Arrive in Italy and travel by train to Lucca, a beautifully preserved Tuscan town known for its medieval walls, cobbled streets, and charming piazzas. From the Lucca train station, it's just a short walk or taxi ride to our beautiful accommodations, where we’ll be waiting to greet you with open arms and warm smiles.

After settling into your room, you’ll have time to rest, freshen up, or take a leisurely stroll through the nearby historic center.

In the evening, we’ll come together for a festive welcome dinner, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers and get a taste of the fun week ahead. We’ll review the itinerary, answer questions, and raise a glass to the unforgettable journey that’s about to unfold.

Then it’s off to bed to rest up—because Tuscany...and the Cinque Terre...await!

Meals included: Dinner

Day 2 - Wednesday, April 15th: Hands-On Healing & Hidden Gems

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll dive into our first session of the retreat. Under James’s expert guidance, you’ll immerse yourself in a hands-on Orthopedic Massage class, laying the foundation for a fulfilling journey of learning and growth.

Following class, we’ll enjoy lunch at a charming local trattoria, savoring fresh Tuscan flavors in a relaxed setting. Then it’s time to explore! We’ll embark on a fascinating walking tour of Lucca with our favorite local guide, discovering hidden corners and historic highlights.

Once we’ve covered the heart of the city on foot, we’ll hop on bikes for a scenic ride along Lucca’s famous Renaissance walls, with the option to explore the mysterious underground tunnels below—an unforgettable perspective on this enchanting town.

As twilight falls, Lucca comes alive with bustling cafés and trattorias offering mouthwatering Tuscan cuisine and local wines. The evening is yours to enjoy. Perhaps you’ll dine al fresco in Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, accompanied by street musicians, and end the night with a gentle stroll through the softly lit, cobbled streets of Lucca.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 3 - Thursday, April 16th: From Kitchen to Concert

This morning, we’ll trade massage tables for chopping blocks as we dive into a delicious hands-on Tuscan cooking class. With guidance from a local chef, you’ll prepare classic regional dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients—and then sit down together to enjoy the fruits of your labor over a relaxed and flavorful lunch.

Afterward, you’ll have free time to rest, explore, or shop in Lucca’s charming boutiques. Whether you’re strolling through artisan markets or enjoying a scoop of gelato in Piazza San Michele, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll reconvene for a lovely group aperitivo at the hotel—complete with wine, local bites, and a few toasts to our adventures so far.

Then it’s off to one of Lucca’s most enchanting experiences: a Puccini-inspired concert held in the historic Church of San Giovanni. Sit back, relax, and let the music of Italy’s most beloved composer stir your soul in this intimate and unforgettable setting.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4 - Friday, April 17th: Art, Wine & Inspiration

After a bountiful breakfast, we’ll gather for our second massage class with James, where you’ll continue to deepen your understanding of orthopedic techniques through guided, hands-on learning.

After class, we'll enjoy a light lunch at a local trattoria, then we'll set off for a scenic afternoon adventure.

Our first stop is the enchanting town of Pietrasanta, often called “Little Athens” for its strong ties to sculpture and the arts. You’ll have time to explore the historic center filled with marble studios, art galleries, and stunning public installations. Sip an espresso in the piazza, browse artisan boutiques, or admire contemporary works scattered throughout the town.

As the golden light of late afternoon settles over the Tuscan hills, we’ll head to a family-run winery nestled just outside of Lucca. There, you’ll enjoy a relaxing tasting of local wines and small bites—a perfect way to toast a day full of culture, creativity, and connection.

We’ll return to Lucca in the early evening. The rest of the night is yours to unwind, dine at leisure, or stroll the softly lit streets of the old town.

Meals included: Breakfast, Wine tasting with light dinner

Day 5 - Saturday, April 18th: Sailing the Cinque Terre

Today we’ll venture beyond the Tuscan hills to experience the breathtaking coastline of Cinque Terre. After breakfast, we’ll board our private coach and head north to Monterosso al Mare, the northernmost and largest of the five famous seaside villages.

Once we arrive, we’ll step aboard a private catamaran for a spectacular 3-hour cruise along the Ligurian coast. As we glide past the iconic cliffside villages, you’ll enjoy sweeping views, sunshine, and sea breezes—plus a fresh seafood lunch served on board, featuring regional flavors and local wine. It’s a luxurious and unforgettable way to experience this UNESCO World Heritage coastline.

After our sailing adventure, we’ll return to shore with plenty of time to explore Monterosso at your own pace. Wander the charming old town, browse shops for local specialties, or simply unwind with a glass of wine by the beach and take in the beauty of the Ligurian Sea.

As the afternoon winds down, we’ll regroup and travel back to Lucca by private coach—relaxed, recharged, and full of coastal memories.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch on board

Day 6 - Sunday, April 19th: Farewells, Free Time & Final Toasts

Our final full day begins with one last massage class with James, where you’ll bring together all the techniques you’ve learned over the week and reflect on how far you’ve come. After class, the afternoon is yours to enjoy however you wish.

This is the perfect opportunity to slow down, wander, and soak up Lucca’s enchanting atmosphere. You might choose to stroll along Via Fillungo, the city’s lively main shopping street, lined with elegant boutiques and artisan shops. Perhaps you’ll indulge in something sweet from one of Lucca’s famed pastry shops or chocolate makers. For those craving a moment of calm, the Botanical Gardens offer a peaceful escape right in the heart of the city. Or maybe you’ll visit one of Lucca’s small but fascinating museums—like the Puccini Birthplace Museum—or simply linger over an aperitivo in a sunlit piazza, watching the world go by.

Later that evening, we’ll reunite for a festive farewell dinner, raising a glass to new friendships, unforgettable memories, and the adventures still to come.
